Questions & answers applicants

You register, express interest, and handle all the practicalities here on our website through “Mina sidor” (My Pages). If you have any questions or need help getting started, you can call Customer Service at 0910-73 65 00 (press 2).

Of course, you are also welcome to visit us at Skeppargatan 8. See our current opening hours under "Kontakta oss" (Contact us).

Remember, your queue time starts as soon as you register.

Our available apartments are published and updated on our website every Tuesday. The available properties are open for booking for seven days, so if you check within that time frame, you can be sure not to miss any apartments you're interested in. Log in to My Pages to monitor your interests.

You can also specify in your interest application that you want to subscribe to apartments that match your preferences. If there are any apartments that align with your criteria, you’ll receive an email notification with information about those apartments. Keep in mind that it’s your responsibility to check available apartments, as messages may not always reach you due to spam filters.

To avoid missing any available apartments, we recommend downloading My Pages as an app through your web browser.

To maintain your status as an active housing applicant, log in to “Mina sidor” (My Pages) at least once every 12 months. It’s your responsibility to remember when you need to update your registration in the housing queue. If you forget to log in within the 12-month period, you’ll need to re-register and start collecting points again.

The “subscribe to apartments” service means that you receive email notifications when we publish an available apartment that aligns with your preferences. To use this service, you need to specify your preferences and provide your email address in your application.

However, there’s a possibility that your broadband provider’s spam filter might block our mass emails. To ensure you don’t miss any available apartments, we recommend downloading the Mina sidor app. With the app, you’ll have full visibility into weekly apartment listings, where you can express interest, keep track of offers, and more. Alternatively, you can visit our website at least once a week to make sure nothing is overlooked.

There can be many different reasons why someone gets blocked. For example, you can be blocked if you have debts to Skebo. Your expression of interest can also be blocked if you forget to respond with yes or no three times to viewing offers. If you decline apartments more than six times within 12 months after being invited to a viewing. If you accept an apartment and then change your mind when we contact you and offer the apartment, please refer to our rental policy.
Contact the Customer Center via email at info@skebo.se, phone 0910-73 65 00 (press 2), or visit us at Skeppargatan 8 for information specific to your case.

The points are personal and cannot be transferred. Your children can register as housing applicants and accumulate queue points with us once they turn 15 years old. To rent a property, they must be 18 years old.

No. Queue points are personal and cannot be combined with anyone else’s points.

On “My pages”, under the “Forgotten Password” link, you can reset your password. If you have chosen email as your contact option, a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address you provided during registration. Otherwise, a letter will be sent to the address you specified during registration.

To express interest in an apartment, log in to “My Pages.” The available apartments that match your preferences can be found under “Search Apartment - Matching.” Find the apartment you are interested in and click the “Express Interest” button.

You can extend your queue time and maintain your status as an active housing applicant by logging in to “My Pages” at least once every 12 months. If you forget to log in within 12 months, you’ll need to register again and start collecting points again.

Queue time refers to the total duration your application has been in our housing queue. It is counted from the day your application was registered, and for each day your application remains with us, you earn one queue day (1 day = 1 point).

It’s not possible to say in advance. It depends on who is applying for it. Applicants who have expressed interest in the specific apartment and have a longer queue time than you will be ahead of you int the queue.

When the booking period has expired, and you are not among the top 20 applicants with the most points for that specific apartment.

Absolutely! We invite the top 20 individuals with the highest queue points for a reason. We cannot predict who is genuinely interested, who might be away, have prior commitments, or who will ultimately accept or decline after the viewing.

If you’re interested and have been invited to a viewing, we strongly recommend attending if you can, regardless of your position. It’s not uncommon for those with the highest queue points to decline, and the apartment may go to someone else with lower queue points among the invitees.

We only showcase the apartment once, so it’s essential to take the opportunity to view it thoroughly during the scheduled time. If the viewing time doesn’t suit you, consider asking a friend, relative, or someone else who knows you well to attend on your behalf and be your “eyes” in the apartment.

Skebo only conducts one viewing of the apartment, so it's important that you take the opportunity to see it thoroughly during the scheduled viewing.

If you have already received a viewing invitation for the apartment, you cannot remove your application for that apartment. You do not need to notify us if you will not attend the viewing. However, we ask that you inform us before the final response date (whether you participated in the viewing or not) that you decline to rent the apartment.

You can do this easily on our website, Skebo, by logging in to “My Pages.” If you are not one of those who received an invitation to attend the viewing, you can cancel your interest at any time.

The apartment may have been undergoing renovation, have a shortened notice period due to reasons such as a death, or for other reasons, have a short time left until move-in.

The move-in date indicates when the lease agreement ends for the departing tenant. The availability date specifies the time when the departing tenant wishes to vacate the apartment. The availability date is only a request from the departing tenant.

If an apartment remains unrented after being listed for mediation, it is instead rented out through "Bodirekt". This means that the first person who expresses interest gets to rent the apartment. When you rent an apartment through "Bodirekt", you get to keep your queue points but cannot express interest in another apartment within nine months after signing the contract.

If you are looking for an apartment marked as “Bodirekt", you must be prepared to sign the contract immediately. If you already live in a Skebo apartment, it may mean that you have double accommodation for a period, resulting in paying rent for two apartments during the notice period.

Getting an apartment through us can take anywhere from a few months up to 10 years. When applying for housing, it's important to understand that the housing queue isn't a single, continuous line. For each advertised apartment, a separate queue of interested parties forms. Also, keep in mind that the majority of those in the queue are not actively seeking housing.
How quickly you can get an apartment depends on several factors, including where you want to live and how many people are interested in living there. There can also be significant differences in queue times depending on rent, standard, and number of rooms.

Once the booking period has expired, we send viewing invitations to the top 20 applicants with the highest queue points. Only then can you see your position in the queue for that specific apartment. Log in to “My Pages,” and you’ll find information about your queue position under the menu/button labeled “Offers".

Skebo does not investigate any priorities.

The points are personal and cannot be transferred. The exception applies to those who joined the queue before January 1, 2013, when it was acceptable for only one person to register in the housing queue. To inherit queue points, we require an extract from the population register showing that you lived together before 2013.

Skebo’s selection of parking spaces, carports, and garages is updated every Tuesday on www.skebo.se. To rent and queue for a parking space at Skebo, you need to register as an applicant in Skebo’s parking space queue. Read more about it here.

No, the apartment holder must terminate the lease, and it will be listed as vacant. The applicant with the longest queue time will receive an offer for the apartment.
