Applying for housing at Skebo is easy. You register, express your interest, and manage all the practicalities here on our website or via our Web app. Skebo’s web-based rental system requires that you actively search for apartments.

If you do not have access to a computer, you are welcome to contact our Costumer service on tel. no.: +46 (0)910 73 65 00 for assistance. Our telephone hours are weekdays 08:00-16:00 (lunch 11:30-12:30), our visiting hours can be found under Contact Us.

Who can apply for housing at Skebo?

You can register as a housing applicant from the age of 15. To rent a home, you need to be at least 18 years old and must not have a record of non-payment. In addition, you must have a regular income as of the moving in date and six months ahead. We may ask for references from previous landlords. You must use the apartment as a permanent residence, not as a second home.

Express your interest

Skebo’s entire range of available apartments is updated every Tuesday on www.skebo.se. The vacant properties are up on the website for seven days, and to express interest you must be registered as a housing applicant. The easiest way to do this is via My Account.

Distribution of apartments

The 20 applicants with the most points in our booking system receive an invite to view the relevant apartments. After the viewing (regardless of whether you have attended the viewing), you will have three days to notify us whether or not you want to rent the apartment. You do this in My Account. If you accept the apartment offer after the viewing, your answer is binding. If several applicants accept, the apartment goes to the applicant with the most queue points. Once we have contacted you by phone or email to inform you that you have been offered the rental contract, you must confirm your intention to sign the contract no later than 12:00 the next day (1 day), otherwise Skebo has the right to assign the apartment to the next person in the queue. No viewings are held for student apartments. Instead, the apartment is assigned to the student who first expresses their interest.

The number of people who have applied for the different apartments is reported in real time on the website, along with how many queue points the applicant with the longest queue time has. The number of queue points required to be invited to a viewing may change if several people with many queue points express interest.

Blocked applications

Your application (expression of interest) will be blocked for six months if you:

  • Do not answer ‘Yes’ or ‘No’ to a viewing invite three times
  • Decline apartments more than six times within 12 months, after you have been invited to a viewing
  • Accept an apartment but then change your mind when we offer you the apartment
  • Do not pass our credit check

Your application (expression of interest) will be blocked for six months, which means you cannot book any new apartments during that time, but you will still accumulate queue points.

BoDirekt

Should an apartment not be rented out after it has been advertised, it is instead rented out as BoDirekt, which means that the person who first expresses their interest may rent the apartment. When you rent an apartment via BoDirekt, you get to keep your queue points but cannot express interest in another apartment within nine months of signing the contract.
